Brain is currently numb...

Recently for the past few days, John has been starting to play Rift. The game was addictive for a reason: John spent N hours trying to get the right feel. Like Tera Online and Path of Exile, Rift is running on the so-called Diablo interface. This was unlike Neverwinter Online where you can just guide the toon's movement via holding down W and move your mouse. As the result, John overheated his brain. For 2-3 days (or even 4), John ended up sleeping late. This was due to his determined nature to see things to the very end, even if it is to be minor things or the very bitter end. Unless John can get an MRI scan proving that he's a stubborn genius (or not), things may continue this way.

So what this post is all about?
Drifting. John's brain is drifting atm. In fact, his paws are struggling to string words together because the paw-eye coordination has gone dodgy. Trying to press A (for example) would result in the chance of the A key scoring a successful dodge. That's how bad it is right now.

Taking a holiday... via anime
Maybe. Just maybe. John's Fate/Zero DVDs have yet to be opened and watched. That's like at least 2-3 years from purchase. At the same time, however, John would most likely watch Sirius the Jaeger first. Either 4 episodes have been done or it's still 3. So it's easier to catch up. Right now, John's brain is swimming in a pool of flickering lights every now and then. Seems that the only person capable of stopping John would be his future radiographer girlfriend. Whoever she is.

So before John progresses to the next part, allow him to advertise his fellow Asian(s). After all, vampires are European Darwinists while werewolves are non-Darwinistic Asians.

Interesting observation: Yuliy's weapon visually resembles how stars connect each other in a constellation.

Obvious observation: No subs.

Some observations: The previous city was Shanghai, this one should be Tokyo; you know Fallon here looks like the real-life Fallon; the name Agatha seemed to be inspired by the name Agatha Christie; dirty Jaeger=a proclamation of eugenics?

Random observation: There's something about the name Sirius. Basically, it's synonymous with being anti-elitist, anti-eugenics, and anti-Darwinistic.

Finally some pressure?
The cerebral pressure is evident. John needs to count in his head how many quests he can afford to do in Rift per day. No more than 4 quests by his reckoning. Thankfully, porting back to the Sanctum isn't that hard.

As for Neverwinter, John thinks he only has enough time for one toon. Most likely Arylos. Maybe John will do a temporal switch to the respective alt once that particular toon hit 20K rough astral diamonds invoke bonus.

Ideas inspired by the Riftwalker
The Riftwalker class is cool. Someone said in the zone chat that in Rift, any class can tank. As a result, John decided to try out the Riftwalker. And it clicked. Think John is gonna stick with Riftwalker.

If there's anything Rift has done for John, it'd be giving him new ideas. Currently, magic in A Requiem is governed by the four deums, which happened to be the Irish names for the four seasons. Thanks for Rift(walker), John has to decide whether/how to implement the Nine Circles into the mix. Nine Circles as in the Nine Realms in Norse mythology. However, John may need to tweak some things Nine Circles reduced by two? In fact, interesting ideas are bouncing in John's head right now.

Adding this for fun

Interesting observation: Seriously, how many times you can count the number of appearances from Jeanne d'Arc aka the Sacred Maiden of Deliverance? And no, the Sacred Maiden of Deliverance part wasn't made up by John. The original Japanese title says it all: 救国の聖女

P.S: John may be doing a review post on Rift. May be.
